TeamLink in Sales Navigator, explained

TeamLink turns your colleagues' networks into a search filter. It is one of the features that separates Advanced from Core, so it is worth knowing exactly what it does.

TeamLink marks leads who are 1st-degree connections of someone on your team, and tells you who, so you can ask that colleague for a warm introduction.

TeamLink makes those paths visible in search results and on lead pages, instead of you asking around the office.

One LinkedIn page disagrees: a footnote on the Premium vs Sales Navigator page says the team collaboration features, including TeamLink, are on Advanced Plus, or Advanced bought through a sales rep. Confirm with LinkedIn before upgrading for TeamLink alone.

Two extensions exist: TeamLink Extend adds colleagues who have no Sales Navigator license (Advanced and Advanced Plus), and TeamLink Groups needs Advanced or Advanced Plus bought through a sales rep.

    Ask the colleague

Send them a two-line note with the lead, why now, and a forwardable blurb.

  4. 4

    Track it

Keep the lead, the colleague and the outcome in one sheet so intros do not get asked twice.

Getting your leads out of Sales Navigator

LinkedIn does not offer a CSV or Excel export of leads or accounts on any plan. Its official route out is CRM Sync on Advanced Plus.

A TeamLink search is a good list to keep outside Sales Navigator, with the connecting colleague next to each lead.

If you are on Core or Advanced and want a spreadsheet, the options are copying rows by hand, a Sales Navigator scraper that runs in your browser, or a cloud tool. Our guide to export Sales Navigator leads compares them.

Know the rule before you pick one: LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits scraping or copying the Services, including through browser plugins and add-ons, and LinkedIn says extensions may limit your searches or lead to restrictions. The safety guide covers that risk in full.
