Apollo vs LinkedIn Sales Navigator

They solve different halves of prospecting. Sales Navigator finds the right people on LinkedIn's own data; Apollo gives you emails, phones and sequences. Here is how to decide, or combine them.

Apollo on Sales Navigator pages

Apollo's help center says that on Sales Navigator search results you "can't select leads or take bulk prospecting actions from the extension". If Apollo data isn't shown on the Sales Navigator profile, it prompts you to open the standard LinkedIn profile.

So Apollo does not turn a Sales Navigator search into a list by itself.

Using both

  1. 1

Build the search in Sales Navigator

Use title, seniority, headcount and geography filters; keep it under 2,500 results.

  2. 2

    Get the list out

Export the search to CSV (manually or with an exporter); keep profile URL and company columns.

  3. 3

    Enrich in Apollo

Upload the CSV and spend credits only on the rows you will contact.

  4. 4

    Sequence

Run the email sequence in Apollo and InMail the top accounts from Sales Navigator.

Using Apollo with Sales Navigator

Sales Navigator is better at finding the right people (50+ filters on LinkedIn's own profiles); Apollo is better at contact details. Many teams use both: build the list in Sales Navigator, then enrich it.

LinkedIn has no CSV export of Sales Navigator searches. Routes into a contact tool: LinkedIn's CRM sync (Advanced Plus only), the vendor's own extension (Lusha saves Sales Navigator tables in batches of 25, Cognism exports leads to your CRM), saving leads one by one, or exporting the search with a Sales Navigator scraper and uploading the CSV for enrichment. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits scraping, including through browser plugins, so that route carries account risk; see the safety guide.
